Can you tell us a fun fact about yourself?

I have 2 kids who keep me busy, and I am an avid motorcycle driver. I like hiking and a attend the gym regularly

Can you describe your career journey so far?

I started off studying horticulture and worked in that area for a few years before I decided to study in the botanical gardens in Goasnevin. I always enjoyed the interaction with people and found I had a knack for sales. I worked in a few different sales roles before someone recommended recruitment and the rest is history!

What is the best thing about working at Realtime?

The culture, the people and the opportunity to learn something new everyday

What is one piece of career advice you could give?

Push yourself out of your comfort zone. True growth happens when you are thrown into something that you have to learn and adapt to

Advice for someone who wants to work in recruitment?

Be resilient and challenge yourself. The more effort you put in to learning and developing your skills the more successful you will become

How did you get where you are? What steps did you take to become Manager?

I started my career in Realtime and moved to another agency and have learned a lot on all stages of my journey which helped shape me into a well-rounded recruiter who could offer advice and mentor junior team members which in turn grew into managerial duties . For me it was leading by example and setting the standards for the rest of the team to follow

Best piece advice for aspiring leaders?

Lead by example and try to get people to solve their own problems and come to you offering solutions. Help people set tangible goals that will enable them to grow personally

What does it mean to be a leader at Realtime?

I get to help shape the direction the business will take, set strategies and have a voice in how we operate
