We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEO Manager and Website Editor to lead the implementation of SEO strategies for our client’s brands in the financial services sector. In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving growth and achieving traffic goals by managing a small team focused on creating engaging, SEO-friendly content. Your efforts will contribute to our mission of assisting users in finding better deals.
Responsibilities:

– Develop and execute strategic plans for on-page, off-page, and technical SEO across all websites to maximize ROI.

– Lead and manage a small team, both in-house and external providers, to produce accurate and engaging SEO-optimized content.

– Review and edit all content for publication, ensuring quality and alignment with SEO goals.

– Employ creative thinking and problem-solving to tailor content for optimal user engagement.

– Report on and analyze website performance data, collaborating with IT to address technical SEO issues promptly.

– Coordinate with the in-house PR team to optimize link-building efforts.

– Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in the SEO landscape.

Qualifications and Experience:

– Educated to degree level with a minimum 2:1 classification or equivalent in a relevant subject.

– 5+ years of hands-on experience in SEO (on-page, off-page, technical aspects), content writing, and website editing.

– Proficiency in CMS, preferably WordPress.

– Familiarity with ahrefs or semrush tools, Google Analytics, and HTML.

– Solid understanding of financial products and a track record of achieving positive SEO ranking improvements.

Desirable Experience:

– Proficiency in tools such as Screaming Frog, originality.ai, and Copy Leaks.

– Copywriting experience in an e-commerce or financial services environment.

– Previous experience working with PR teams.

– Experience in managing or mentoring people.

Skills and Personal Qualities:

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to self-educate and quickly adapt to new systems.

– Project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

– High attention to detail.

– Self-motivated and able to take initiative.

– Eligible to work in the UK.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports to the Head of Online Marketing.
