Realtime Recruitment are seeking several Java SDET’s at different levels of experience to join a dynamic Product team for top Dublin based Client.
These roles are initially a 9-month FTC with a view to convert to a permanent position. The organisation offers a very flexible hybrid working set up.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, test automation, and a deep understanding of software testing methodologies. As an SDET, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design, implementation, and execution of automated test suites.
– Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and related technologies.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test automation aligns with product requirements.
– Continuously enhance and optimize automated test frameworks for improved efficiency and coverage.
– Develop and implement testing strategies that address all aspects of the software development life cycle.
– Perform thorough testing of software applications, identifying and documenting defects and inconsistencies.
– Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand system requirements and ensure test coverage.
– Participate in code reviews and provide valuable feedback to improve overall code quality.
– Proficient in Java programming language and related tools.
– Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
– Familiarity with continuous integration/delivery tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).
– Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
– Provide clear and detailed bug reports and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.
– Years of experience;
– 8 years for Senior SDET
– 4 years for Mid Level SDET
– 2-3 years for SDET
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
– Proven experience with testing web applications, APIs, and microservices.
– Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
– Effective communication and collaboration skills.
– Experience with performance testing and security testing is a plus.
– Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a bonus.
