IT Service Delivery Manager

Location: Dublin

Job Type: Contract, expected to work full-time hours

Primary Industry: Insurance

Salary: €500 – €550 per day

Job Duties:

  • Manage and oversee the delivery of IT services within the organisation
  • Ensure the IT services are aligned with business objectives and meet the needs of internal stakeholders
  • Develop and implement service delivery strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Monitor and evaluate service delivery performance, identifying areas for improvement
  • Manage and coordinate service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors and suppliers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve service delivery issues and escalations
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support
  • Manage IT budgets and resources effectively
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in IT service delivery

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role as an IT Service Delivery Manager
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks and best practises (e.g., ITIL)
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT service delivery management
  • Experience in the insurance industry is highly desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure and systems
  • Proficiency in IT service management tools and software
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL certification
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate degree

Working Conditions:

  • This is a contract position with full-time hours
  • Work may be conducted both remotely and onsite, as required
  • Occasional travel may be necessary to meet with stakeholders or attend industry events
