Day Rate Contract – AS400 Developer

We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer to join our team on a day-rate contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in RPG, CL, and DB2 within the IBM i (AS400) environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain applications on the IBM i (AS400) platform
• Write efficient and maintainable RPG, RPG IV, and RPGLE code
• Create and maintain CL programs and DB2 database objects
• Design and implement interfaces between IBM i and other systems
• Debug and resolve production issues
• Perform system testing and assist with user acceptance testing
• Document technical specifications and procedures
• Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with IBM i (AS400) development
• Strong knowledge of RPG IV, RPGLE, and free-format RPG
• Experience with CL programming and DB2 for IBM i
• Proficiency in SQL, DDS, and data modeling concepts
• Understanding of modern IBM i tools and technologies (RDi, ACS)
• Experience with integration technologies (web services, API, etc.)
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail
