Can you tell us a fun fact about yourself?

I have a 2-year-old daughter who is my mini-me, Lucy. She is my proudest accomplishment to date.

Can you describe your career journey so far?

Certified Beauty and Body therapist, Masseuse and Make-up artist. Worked in retail cosmetics for over 10 years. Advanced into an Area Manager role covering the UK and Ireland for a Global Cosmetics Brand. Made a career move into recruitment 4 years ago and am now lucky to manage a great team within the Dublin office.

What is the best thing about working at Realtime?

The culture, the chance to grow within the organisation and be rewarded for all the work.

What is one piece of career advice you could give?

Be a lifelong learner; You can continue to learn no matter what stage of your career you are in. When you learn continuously, you will gain more skills and become adaptable in your career journey.

Advice for someone who wants to work in recruitment?

Be a PRO; Persistent, Resilient and Organised. Is it a fast-paced environment with multiple processes on the go at any one time so approaching each day with goals and a To-Do list is imperative!

How did you get where you are? What steps did you take to become Manager?

I am lucky to have been given the opportunity to manage the permanent team in Dublin last year. Consistent hard work for the 3 years prior by building great relationships with both clients and candidates and learning daily from the whole team gave me the skills to be able to do this role.

Best piece advice for aspiring leaders?

You have to lead by example and do not expect your team to do anything you wouldn’t do yourself.

What does it mean to be a leader at Realtime?

I am involved in all areas of the business where my opinions are always valued. Motivating a great team and being a part of a growing organisation is what makes my role great!
