Procurement Consultant (Defence Equipment)

 Leading Professional Services firm in growth-mode requires a Procurement Consultant
Our client is experiencing unprecedented growth across their business, with a focus on building-out their Belfast Centre of Excellence. The breadth and depth of their expertise is unparalleled in the consulting world.
The Procurement Consultant Role
As a Procurement Consultant in the Belfast Consulting practice centre of excellence, you will work on some of the most interesting client projects the firm has to offer. This will include working on classified engagements in the Defence / Military sector.
You will work closely with the clients to gain a deep understanding of their military equipment needs, and how their capabilities can be maintained at a reduced cost. You will identify opportunities for the client and specify the most appropriate commercial and contracting terms for each transaction.
They are looking for Procurement Consultants with a number of years' experience in a similar role; i.e. Procurement / Supply Chain / Support Engineering for cost-reduction and efficiency identification. You will have an analytical mind, with the ability to appraise complex situations involving multiple parties, and come up with solutions. You will be an excellent communicator, and be able to work seamlessly with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels. It would be great if you had knowledge of equipment repair, maintenance policies + support chains etc. A Lean Six Sigma Certification is desirable.
